- Stand the wall frames upright and attach them to the floor frame using hurricane ties.
- Install the top plates on the wall frames.
- Cut and install the studs between the top and bottom plates, ensuring they are plumb and level.
- Cut the rafters to the desired length and angle.
- Attach the rafters to the top plates using metal connectors.
- Install plywood sheathing over the rafters and secure it with nails.
- Install the roofing material of your choice (shingles, metal, etc.).
- Install the siding of your choice (cedar, pine, etc.) to the exterior walls.
- Install trim around the windows, doors, and roofline.
- Paint or stain the shed to your desired color.
- Install the doors and windows.
- Add gutters and downspouts to direct rainwater away from the shed.
- Use a level and square to ensure that your shed is built straight and true.
- Wear safety glasses and gloves when working with power tools.
- Get help from a friend or family member when lifting heavy materials.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help from a professional if you need it.
